Sono Food Crawl!!

This location is shown only to members

We hope you have a taste for the unique and creative – dining in SoNo is anything but typical. Upscale chic. International fare. Fresh seafood, it is, after all, a seaport. Award-winning chefs. Bars, cafés, bistros, delectable desserts, it’s all here.

We plan to grab little tastes at each of the spots we stop at, maybe some fried chicken or ribs at Jeff's...a truffle or two (ok, you know you're going home with more!) at Chocopologie...some green apple cotton candy and a diablo margarita at Red Lulu...sushi and sake at Kazu, and tapas and sangria at Barcelona. Do try to pace yourself!!

Jeff's Cuisine on North Main Street is a gem of a joint for down-home Southern-style cuisine, serving award-winning versions of barbecue ribs and authentic sides. Jeff is not only a likeable guy, but an excellent chef. He treat's every customer like a long lost friend!

Chocopologie

No one around these parts knows chocolate so well as the famed chocolatier, Fritz Knipschildt. His artisan cocoa creations are nationally known and loved, and his café, Chocopologie, is a South Norwalk institution of confectionary decadence. Handmade chocolates and confections with unexpected savory and spicy twists are a hallmark of Fritz’s chocolate philosophy.

Red Lulu Cocina & Tequila Bar

Obscure, dark and sexy. Red Lulu mixes gourmet Mexican with a touch of 'True Blood', visually striking with its red damask wallpaper, glowing red candles, wrought iron chandeliers and mirrored tables.

Barcelona a hip Mediterranean-inspired hotspot, offers authentic tapas, mouthwatering entrees, and specialty cocktails.

Hi Jen, What do you suggest for parking? Was thinking about driving or taking the train to/from SoNo.

the train is a good option...there's also a large parking lot by the movie theater...but you may even find parking on the street since we'll be there early in the day. see you saturday!

I don't know the area at all, so I need a little extra help. Where exactly are we meeting? at a food place? at a parking lot? movie theater? as much specificity as possible would be most appreciated!

The only things that would have made it more complete would have been the bars actually being open - ha, ha! Next Time!!
